ABOUT NAKSHATRAS:
'Vedic' astrology has a complex system of stars aka 'nakshatras' or 'lunar mansions' working behind the scenes of the 'rashis' that are further related to 'deities' and 'mantras' found in the 'Vedas'.
In this series, I will briefly discuss the energy of each 'nakshatra' every day, following the Moon through his journey across the sky around the Earth.
In each video I will talk briefly about the 'nakshatra', its energy, its significance and also how planetary placements here influence your life and what they guide is towards.
This video is about the nakshatra of 'Hasta', which is the 10th 'nakshatra' out of a total of 27 and what its energy is like.
ABOUT VISHAKHA NAKSHATRA:
Ruled by the combination of two of the most powerful Vedic deities ‘Indra’ and ‘Agni’, this is the ‘nakshatra’ of raw power and leadership which encapsulates within it the energy of victory and purification.
The name ‘Vishakha’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Visakha’ which means ‘to shine’ or ‘to radiate’. In many ways this lunar mansion is about shining through the challenges of life by shining the power of truth and pure intentions.
One can say this nakshatra weighs heavily on the mind of the native in terms of the ‘weight of unfulfilled potential’. There is a lot of potential that the natives ruled by this nakshatra or with key placements in this nakshatra wield and sometimes too much potential can lead to very little progress because the energy itself is too intense to work with!
The life journey of natives with prominent placements in Vishakha is one of searching for and striving for the truth and victory. In this respect a lot of such individuals may be too literal and ‘puritanical’ in their approach towards life. Alternatively they may be power hungry and reckless individuals who care only about winning.
Either way, the energy is highly directed towards domination, leadership and power. One way or another these individuals will find themselves in the corridors of power; this can be as a result of close associations with those in power or inadvertently stumbling into positions of leadership and responsibility.
It is not unsurprising therefore that a lot of trainers, coaches, teachers and writers will have this nakshatra prominent in their chart.
Wherever this nakshatra is placed in the chart and wherever you have important planets placed here, you will see a lot of chaos but also energy and opportunity in the individuals’ life surrounding that area of their life.
ABOUT 'INDRAAGNI':
While ‘Indraagni’ is quite literally the resultant energy formed by the coming together of the ‘shakti’ of both Indra and Agni, it is in itself an entity of purification and power.
Think of it is a type of fire that can be directed to gain power, control and notoriety.
The 'shakti' i.e. the root force of the nakshatra of vishakha is 'vyapana shakti' i.e. the ability to penetrate all things.
It goes without saying therefore that to have that level of energy, there surely must be a powerful force(s) working in the background. You can think of the powerful unification of the leader of the devas (Agni) and the king of the devas (Indra) to provide the extra power that is required to create such an 'all penetrating', unrelenting energy.
