Vivaldi: Concerto for Two Violins in A Minor RV522
Based on Johann Sebastian Bach´s transcription for organ (also known as Concerto for Organ in A Minor bwv. 593).
Played on a bandoneon, a musical instrument similar to an accordion or a concertina.
Bach was a tremendous admirer of Vivaldi´s music, and as soon as he got the chance to analyze the scores of L´estro armonico, a set of 12 violin concertos composed by the Italian master, he was inspired to transcribe them as a set of solo organ works.
This transcription of mine is based on the Organ score by Bach, but the original music was composed by Antonio Vivaldi.
