Up the workers! The end of winter is in sight! Arranging seasonal flowers in February means working with a restrained colour palette and a limited number of ingredients but you can still make beautiful, sculptural garden-to-vase flower arrangements before spring is underway.
At our Hampshire cutting garden we prepare for the season ahead. There's plenty to do: pruning, mulching, tidying and sowing hardy annual seeds. Alex makes a flower arrangement in the garden cabin with just 3 ingredients - hellebores, honeysuckle and cotoneaster branches.
In London, signs of spring are stirring - among skeletal husks, seedpods and leaf detritus there are snowdrops, daffodils, aconites, crocuses. Plus, some beautiful sunsets!
