Happy New Year! Come along with me for another "1st week of __ semester." I cannot vlog as much when I am in class but here are snippets of my week as I brave another semester of my program. Something you don’t really hear is how lonely being a full-time student is, especially if your friends are attending different colleges/universities or aren’t currently in school. The discipline and isolation you have to go through simply because school is expensive, time-consuming, and rigorous makes it all the more lonely.
I’m very grateful to be in my program, but I’d be lying if I said, “I do not reconsider or regret my current life." Despite the broke and lonely lifestyle I’m currently living, I’ve learned to romanticize it because I was praying to be in this exact situation just last year. Additionally, I have supportive family and friends and an amazing cohort to make this journey feel bearable. With that being said, enjoy my angry studying face.
