When Volkswagen first launched the ID.3, the third pillar in their "People's Car" heritage, it was good, if not quite good enough. Cabin quality and software issues blighted what should have been an absolute dead certain winner in the family EV stakes, and whilst it sold relatively well, the tales of shoddy build and continuously failing infotainment systems hit home. With reputation still being rebuilt after their infamous "Dieselgate" scandal, Volkswagen couldn't take any chances, so here we are, four years later with a thoroughly revised car.
