Wagon Wheel was originally written by Bob Dylan (Chorus) and Ketch Secor (Verses) of Old Crow Medicine Show. It has a simple, 8-bar chord pattern that repeats throughout, which makes it a great song for practicing our Travis Picking!
Depending on your practice goals for today, feel free to pick along, chord along, sing along, or some combination of those layers. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, just take off a layer. Giving your undivided attention to each layer of playing will make it easier to put these layers together faster … I promise! :)
