In this video, it's a windy Friday evening in Sydney and thunderstorms are threatening. We're taking a walk from King St Wharf to Circular Quay, passing through the scenic and historic parts of Barangaroo, Millers Point, and Walsh Bay.
We start today's walk looking at the crowds of revelers at King St Wharf. We then walk north along the waterfront, and pass by multitudes of restaurants before reaching Barangaroo Wharf. We then take a sneak peek inside the lobby of Crown Sydney before returning outside and continuing on to Nawi Cove.
Next, we climb Girra Girra Steps, briefly into Barangaroo Reserve, and we then find ourselves in the historic suburb of Millers Point. We check out Hotel Palisade and the Lord Nelson Hotel (Sydney's oldest pub), and then descend to Hickson Rd and the repurposed wharves of Walsh Bay, home of Sydney Dance Company & Sydney Theatre Company....as well as many other cultural enterprises.Climbing Hickson Steps brings us to the underside of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. We make a brief detour to see Dawes Point Battery and then double back to Cumberland St, with the Glenmore Hotel & the Australian Hotel full to the brim with customers.
Finally, we keep climbing up to the Cahill Walk, which gives us a unique perspective of Sydney CBD, and then of Circular Quay.
