Rakiura Stewart Island is the lesser known third largest island in New Zealand.
This it the place where you have the biggerst chance to see a wild Kiwi bird, which we did! But it's hard to get a good picture of film of them since they are nocturnal animals.
We decided to do a stop on Ulva island as well, it's a pest free island of the Stewart Island coast where there are a lot of rare birds, due to it being so untuched.
We also did the first day of the Rakiura track, where we got our first taste of the pesky sandflies.
If you want to go to Rakiura, it's deffinatelly worth while, but be sure to check the weather, as it can be fairly cold there, even in the summer, and the weather changes quickly.
We are also on Instagram!
