滋賀県近江八幡の山々を縦走してきました。
今回は長命寺山から入り、奥島山、笠鉾山、奥津山(山元富士)、王ノ浜山を縦走しました。これらは元々奥島と呼ばれ、琵琶湖に浮かぶ島だったとのこと。古から信仰の対象となる磐座も多数あり、歴史を感じる山行でした。
I climbed the mountains in Omihachiman, Shiga Prefecture.
This time, I started from Chomeiji Mountain and traversed through Okushima Mountain, Kasahoko Mountain, Okutsu Mountain (Yamamoto Fuji), and Onohama Mountain. These mountains were originally called Okushima and were once islands floating in Lake Biwa. There were many ancient iwakura (sacred rock formations) that have been objects of worship since ancient times, making it a hike filled with a sense of history.
