Today we're doing a cage makeover for my ferrets with ONLY things I've bought at Walmart! I had a lot of fun doing the dollar store version of this video so I thought I'd do it again!!

1. Blockage risks:
If you have a ferret that chews toys or blankets please make sure to only use antipill fleece in their cage. This is the fabric that is least likely to lead to a blockage if ingested (though it still may). Toys shouldn't be kept in your ferrets cage since your ferrets may be tempted to chew them (which could also result in a blockage).
2. Safety checks:
I do weekly cage checks and cleans to make sure that the fabrics in my cage haven't been chewed. It's a good idea to make these checks a regular part of your routine.
3. FERRETS ARE NOT CAGED PETS!
My ferrets do have a cage, but ferrets aren't meant to be kept in them 24/7. My girls are out of their cage anytime I'm home and awake, and yours should be too :D Treat ferrets the same way you would with a crate trained dog.
