Enjoy a ride around the Magic Kingdom on the Walt Disney World RailRoad in the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. During the ride we go by the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad construction and see the track replacement in progress! We get on at the Main Street station and take the grand circle tour around the entire park. You can board or disembark at any of 3 stations- Near the entrance to the park on Main Street U.S.A., The Frontierland station, & The Fantasyland station. The Walt Disney World Railroad(WDWRR) opened to the public for the first time on October 1, 1971, the same day that the Magic Kingdom park opened. The WDWRR is a 3-foot (914 mm) narrow-gauge heritage railroad and attraction located within the Magic Kingdom. Its route is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) in length and encircles most of the park, with train stations in three different park areas. The rail line, constructed by WED Enterprises, operates with four historic steam locomotives originally built by Baldwin Locomotive Works (BLW) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
