Wang Shu, Chinese wisdom depicted in architecture
Wangshu is probably the only architect in China that is able to both create architecture that’s rooted deeply in China and able to express what Chinese architecture should be. 2012 Pritzker Prize Laureate, Wang Shu, repeatedly opens new horizons while at the same time resonating with place and memory. His buildings have the unique ability to evoke the past, without making direct references to historical eras.
