Hiking to the top of Wasson Peak - the highest point in the Tucson Mountain Range, located in the western side of Saguaro National Park. This is a beautiful desert hike through the Sonoran Desert landscape which is dotted with the majestic Giant Saguaro Cactus, one of the most unique plant-life species on the planet.
This hike is not for the timid, the desert heat can reach temperatures well above 115 degrees F. You will also climb a total of 1,800 ft in elevation gain from the trail head to the peak with about an 8 mile round trip.
