AUSTRALIA: Wreathed in mist from a humidifier at the Royal Sydney Botanic Garden in Australia, the short-lived bloom of a corpse flower is being expected any minute As suggested in its name, the corpse flower produces a scent similar to that of rotting flesh when it blooms as a way to attract pollinators. They're also called Amorphophallus titanum, titan arum, stink flower, rotting corpose flower, and other stinky names due to the foul odor of the flower. Officials said the bloom only lasts for 24-48 hours and happens as infrequently as once in 10 years.
