Water etching on ceramics is a technique that creates a slightly raised surface, ultimately resulting in a tactile texture that often gives a piece of pottery additional interest. Adding an underglaze as part of that process and design can give the final result even more depth and interest - not only in feel in the hand, but also a visual moment for the eye.
