Enjoy the view normally reserved for the footplate crew as we pass through the pretty Hampshire countryside with BR “Standard class 4” 2-6-0 - No.76017 at the head of an Alton bound service train. The crew kindly allowed me to attach a small camera to one of the hand rails of the locomotive tender enabling viewers to experience a forward view of the entire route from Alresford to Alton, including running around the train at Alton ready to form the return service. To complete the railway’s “Driver’s Eye” experience we join a narrow gauge train for a run along the
10 ¼ inch gauge Ropley Miniature Railway.
