Swing knitting technique (from the English. Swing - swing, rocking, oscillation) is a knitting technique in which short rows are used to create patterns. Such techniques are otherwise called partial or shortened knitting.
To avoid holes in the turning points, you need to knit the loops in a special way. In my work I use the German Short Rows method. But this method has a certain drawback when we knit the leaves with a garter stitch. Namely: in the lower part of the sheet, an ugly place is obtained due to the accumulation of purl loops in the turning points, a scar is formed.
Depending on the type of yarn and the knitting style, these scars are not always noticeable and the leaves turn out quite beautiful if all the loops are knitted (the old way). But there are situations when this place stands out ugly, spoils the look of the product and our mood. We want our creations to be the most beautiful and accurate. In this video, I will show you how to get rid of this scar and solve the problem.
Consider 2 types of the German method of shortened loops, for each method I will show how to twist the loops if you knit classic purl or grandmother's.
