Trying out an Epoch 48 volt 100 Ah Lithium battery on my boat using it to run an ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus electric outboard motor. Th Epoch battery is a LiFePo4 battery which is IP67 marine rated for use in a boat. This big 96 lb battery offers a lot more range and run time than the standard ePropulsion battery which is only 28 Ah. This battery can be used with other 48 volt electric outboards but I am using it with my little 3 hp equivalent outboard on my old waterlogged Boston Whaler.

If you are shopping for a small outboard boat motor, the ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus electric outboard motor is rated as a 3 hp equivalent. This electric boat motor could be perfect for people who operate their boat on electric only lakes or just want the quiet and ease of use of a small electric boat motor. ePropulsion also offer the Navy 3.0 which is rated at 6 hp equivalent and the Navy 6.0 rated at 9.9 hp equivalent.
