We cooked traditional Khasi tribal food in Shillong, Meghalaya. This region in north eastern India is home to the Khasi people - one of three indigenous tribes found locally. Despite the simplicity of Khasi cooking in its ingredients and cooking techniques, each dish tells a story of their traditions from the foraging of their specific type of ginger to using every part of the pig - including the brain!
Check out this glimpse into Auntie Bonnie & Uncle Dean's beautiful homestay up in the hills of Shillong. It's an escape from the hustle and bustle with authentic, delicious food.
