Back at it today, wrapping up a septic backfill over the mountain. But, of course, nothing ever goes as planned... When we roll up to the quarry near the job, we find out the power’s out, so we have to go on a hunt for gravel. Once we finally track some down and drop it off for the crew to spread, I jump in the dump truck and start hauling dirt from the shop to the cart path project.
Ethan and Vince are on the machines, building up the path, but between trips, I’m cleaning up around the shop and showing y’all the damage to one of our brand-new machines. Over at the cart path, the skid steer keeps getting stuck—I hop in the mini to pull them out and keep the job moving.
Once we’ve got enough dirt there for the day, I head over to meet with a customer from a big project we recently finished to go over some final cleanup details.
