Ever want to see the behind the scenes footage of what goes in to building your own home?? Earlier this year I was set on a journey to rebuild my house after a house fire. As I started on this path I found that there's so many videos out there about how to do different things but there wasn't anything specifically on how to build a whole house as an owner builder. As the homeowner I was allowed to build my own home, I just had to learn how. This series is my attempt to document the whole process and all of the new and valuable lessons I'm learning along the way.
This is part 5 of the series and in this episode I show the whole behind the scenes process of what happens when the basement gets made. If you've never done this before or even researched this process you're going to learn a good bit. I'll show everything that happens when building the forms for the footers, how they measure, how they build, and then after all that... how they pour.
After the footers are done, you'll see how the walls are done. I hope this video proves useful and hopefully gives some context behind everything.
