We’re currently in our off-season, but that doesn’t mean no riding – in fact, for us, it means an opportunity to try some big adventure rides that usually don’t fit well into our training schedule. Rides like this one – a 93 mile section of the Continental Divide Trail that traverses the rocky mountains from Cumbres, CO to Abiquiu, New Mexico on almost entirely high alpine singletrack. We’ve been wanting to do this ride for ages, but now the time is finally right.

Turns out we are in for one hell of ride, as the weather takes an unexpected turn and we find ourselves battling semi-blizzard conditions, hellacious wind, downed trees, and our own hubris.
