Welcome to the 6th episode of our Southeast Asia travel series! This time, we’re continuing our journey in Kanchanaburi, western Thailand.
In this episode, we visited one of the most famous landmarks in Kanchanaburi—the Bridge over the River Kwai!
We were lucky with the timing, as we got to take plenty of photos during sunset when the crowds started to thin out. And the restaurant we went to afterward was absolutely amazing… 🥹 (In the end, we decided to make it our own little Valentine’s celebration! Haha.)
Now, on a more personal note—
As we mentioned in the video, the Bridge over the River Kwai holds a tragic history. Yet today, people from all over the world visit this place, smiling and taking photos. It made me realize how fortunate we are to live in such peaceful times.
The view from the bridge has changed completely in the past 90 years. I feel truly grateful to be alive in an era filled with smiles, and I believe it’s our responsibility to protect this peace for the future.
Of course, the world we live in today is not entirely peaceful, but I want to always appreciate the peace I have right now and live with gratitude every day.
