About the C4NET Enhanced System Planning (ESP) Project
The Enhanced System Planning (ESP) project, led by the Centre for New Energy Technologies (C4NET), focuses on developing tools to understand the impact of advancements like rooftop solar, batteries, and the electrification of gas and transport on electricity demand and the energy system. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive modelling framework that integrates distribution networks, consumer energy resources, and distributed energy resources. By enhancing transmission and whole-of-system planning, the ESP project seeks to address critical gaps in long-term national energy planning.
