Produced in 2002, this documentary delves into the layered history of Cockatoo Island / Wareamah, with a particular focus on the 134-year period when it operated as a shipbuilding and repair facility (1857-1991).
Created in collaboration with production company TVU, ‘The History of Cockatoo Island’ features archival footage from the island’s maritime era as well as interviews with former dockyard personnel, including John Jeremy, the final CEO of Cockatoo Dockyard Pty Ltd.
