The day starts with Will Lee in the Vervaet beet harvester finishing our block of beet up at Torrington. we’ve got Harry, Will Hammond, Tony and Andrew on trailers all using John Deere tractors ranging from 6R250 to 8R370 and Rolland trailers.
Any, Blake and Jamie are all continuing to tank and spread liquid digestate on ground we are preparing to drill spring oats into in the next week or so. Blake and Jamie driving John Deere 6R250s and Ant driving a JCB fast track 8330 icon. Again the slurry tankers used are a Pichon a Joskin and a redrock.
In the afternoon Steve finally gets the Horsch Focus out and loads it with spring oat seed and heads on up to a 70 acre block to drill Spring oats. The Horsch focus is pulled by a John Deere 8R410.
Just to add a touch of comedy to the day Tom heads up to pick Will up from the beat harvester after he moves to a local farmers farm and manages to get his car stuck in the field and has to be pulled out by Ant in his pick up
