Join me for a relaxing after-work fly fishing session in the mountains of western Washington. With the warm temps finally rolling in, it was the perfect evening to ditch the waders and wet wade for the first time this season.
The mountain stream — recently opened for fishing — was alive with activity. Trout were feeding aggressively on the surface, taking a variety of dry flies throughout the evening. It was one of those golden moments where the conditions, the fish, and the company all lined up just right.
Of course, I wasn’t alone — my trusty fishing buddy Cedar, a wirehaired pointing griffon and the *best* fishing dog out there, was by my side the whole time.
