Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In May 2025, the Japanese flying squid migrated off the coast of Odawara, so I went right away.
I had been wanting to go fishing on Oomori in Odawara for a while, so I went with three friends.
Two boats were out and we were fully booked that day, so we went on Captain Takumi's boat on the Third Omori Maru.
The regulations on the Omori Maru require the use of light tackle, so we challenged ourselves with squid tackle.
The fishing spot was about 50 to 80 meters off the coast of Odawara to Manazuru.
Many of the boats caught Japanese flying squid on the first cast, but my first catch was on the second cast.
The Japanese flying squid were small, and it was technical to get a bite and hook them, so I was at their mercy the whole time, but when I came across a school of happy squid, I caught multiple ones, and with the help of Captain Takumi's kind and easy-to-understand announcements, I thoroughly enjoyed my first challenge to catch Japanese flying squid in Odawara!
Each scene is a squid's way.
You can see the lucky pattern of drifting that can be done many times from 5:23 and 7:32.
You can see the explanation of the squid landing pattern for that day from 16:18.

I recommend Captain Takumi's Youtube for studying how to catch Odawara Mugiika here!
