We had long wanted to visit a Chakma's house to enjoy authentic Chakma cuisine, and we finally had the chance. We took a short trip to Rangamati and stayed in a premium houseboat called Sukher Tori. We went to a local market called Banarupa Bazar to buy locally produced vegetables, meat, and fish. Then, we took our houseboat to a Chakma's house in the middle of Kaptai Lake. The house was located on a hilltop surrounded by lake water. The Chakma family welcomed us warmly and cooked us a delicious meal of traditional Chakma dishes. It was an unforgettable experience.
