Welcome to our YouTube channel! In this video, we will take a closer look at the different types of Residual Current Devices (RCDs) and their crucial role in electrical safety. Understanding the variations of RCDs is essential for protecting lives and preventing electrical hazards in both residential and commercial environments. RCDs, also known as ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs), are specialized electrical devices designed to quickly detect and interrupt abnormal electrical currents. They provide an additional layer of protection by monitoring the imbalance between incoming and outgoing electrical currents. When an imbalance occurs, indicating a potential electrical fault or leakage, the RCD rapidly shuts off the power supply, reducing the risk of electric shock and electrical fires.
