Most modern peak current mode ICs these days, add the compensating ramp internally. They rarely add too little ramp, but sometimes they can add too much. So what happens if you add too much ramp? In this first installment of our 2 part video series, Dr Seyed Ali Shirsavar from Biricha, will explain exactly why if we add too much compensating ramp to a peak current mode controller, it will starts to act like voltage mode with all its associated disadvantages. He will also show why under peak current mode control, the inductor acts like a constant current source. You can download a more detailed presentation here: https://www.biricha.com/psudf-subhar
