What if Anakin Discovered the Infinity Stones in Revenge of the Sith? Let’s explore the depths of this scenario in the video.
Anakin sighs and tries To keep his face blank as he listens to the Jedi Council meeting as emotions war inside him. Resentment, disappointment, and boredom all bubble within him as the Council discusses the latest war developments.
That is until they mention Utapau where Grievous and the remainder of the CIS fleet regrouped after the Battle of Coruscant. For some reason, he decided to regroup there and appeared to be looking for something.
Yoda senses a disturbance in the Force and orders Obi-Wan to investigate. Anakin volunteers to accompany him, but Mace coldly reminds him he already has a task. When the meeting ends, Anakin is the first one out, but he has little time to dwell on it as he must report everything to the chancellor.
Palpatine: Interesting, I have heard no such reports about artifact searches on Utapau.
Anakin: I’m sure the council meant to inform you.
Palpatine: You are generous to the council, but this is what I feared. I asked you to be my eyes and ears because I feared the Jedi would withhold information like this from me.
Anakin: I am sure the council does not intend any harm with it.
Palpatine: Oh, I am sure. But I cannot allow such behavior to continue. Perhaps if you were to go to Utapau and look into this artifact. You are still a Jedi, but one I trust.
Anakin: Chancellor, I am honored by your trust in me, but the council would not approve of me going there. They already appointed Master Kenobi to go.
Palpatine: Oh I doubt the council will mind, and if they do I will protect you.
This is enough for Anakin who heads to Utapau. Using what little information the Jedi have, he approaches a jungle part of the planet, away from the city, and spots a temple in the distance. The ancient stones are illuminated by blaster fire from a battle.
Frowning, Anakin makes his way there on foot and spots battle droids locked in combat with a large force of strange alien-robot hybrids. Although outnumbered, the Chitauri slowly push the droids back.
Anakin waits for an opening and hurries inside the temple while they are distracted. The building is huge, but he immediately finds a hidden entrance that reveals a cavernous hall.
Anakin listens to the sound of blades clashing and lightsabers humming and allows that to lead him. As he draws closer, the fighting grows more desperate as lightsaber swings grow frantic and vicious,
Anakin nears a large clearing where he spots General Grievous dueling with a hulking monster. He slams the cyborg against the wall and shoves him down. But rather than remain defeated, Grievous snarls and lunges at him, his lightsabers flashing.
However, he freezes in midair as a second figure levitating off the ground appears from the shadows.
Ebony Maw: That was excellent entertainment, general. But we now have what we are looking for.
With the flick of his wrist, Ebony Maw crushes Grievous like a grape. He tosses the crushed metal aside and floats over to the end of the clearing where Anakin spies a faint glow in the wall. Cull Obsidian joins him, but Ebony Maw raises a hand.
Ebony Maw: We are not alone.
Suddenly, Ebony Maw whirls around and hurls several boulders at him. To his surprise, Anakin uses the Force to stop them and smirks at him while the boulders are frozen in the air, locked in a battle of wills.
Anakin: You’re not the only one with powers.
Ebony Maw: Please, boy. Your powers are a trifle compared to mine.
He flicked his wrist and shattered the boulders, sending thousands of shards Anakin’s way. The Jedi leaps over at them and hurls his lightsaber at him which grazes the telepath’s neck.
Anakin: No, but I bet you don’t have that.
A roar behind him sends Anakin whirling aside as Cull Obsidian barrels towards him. He barely dodges his blade as the massive fighter swings his fists at him, Anakin ducks under the blow and shoves Cull against the wall.
He whirls, nearly slicing off Ebony Maw’s head as he comes flying back into Anakin’s hand. He readies his lightsaber as the two begin to get up.
But before they can attack again, another shape emerges from the shadow, one larger than them. His skin is a light purple and he wears golden armor. Thanos regards his children and the new arrival.
Thanos: This battle shall not be necessary. You fight well, Jedi. But tell me, for what causes do you throw yourself into this fight?
Anakin: To the peace that will come from the chancellor.
Thanos: So for loyalty, admirable but short-sighted. Do you truly believe your Chancellor will bring peace?
Anakin: He has a plan. He will end the war.
Thanos: This war. But how long will it be until the next one arises? A few years? There will always be conflict so long as our universe remains as out of balance as it is now. There is only one way this can end, with my vision.
