What if in an alternate timeline the British won the war of 1812. In our timeline the British were stronger than the Americans, but the British didn't have the willpower to commit to a massive war in the America's after winning the war against Napoleon. After 20 years of European war the British didn't feel like committing to who knows how many more years of war against the Americans. Especially because for the British the benefit of winning the war were unclear. Britain wasn't about to re-annex the US, so what would they even be fighting for?
