What if Czechoslovakia Refused the First Vienna Award?

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

After the Munich Conference in 1938, Czechoslovakia was stripped of the Sudetenland. A little over a month later, the first Vienna Award was signed, giving Southern Slovakia to Hungary, while the Czechoslovak Government had to give more autonomy to Slovakia and Carpathian Ruthenia. 4 months after that, Czechoslovakia ceased to exist. I have already made a video on what if Czechoslovakia refused the Munich Conference and kept the Sudetenland, but a little-known event is the First Vienna Award and I think it could turn out to be even more interesting had Czechoslovakia refused to cede further lands to the Axis, resulting in an invasion. The thing is that Germany is unlikely to participate, so Hungary would need to gain Southern Slovakia by force, greatly complicating Central Europe and altering the Second World War. Let me show you what I came up with! ▬ LINKS ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Book - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTHSKVWP Discord Server - https://discord.gg/jE48DHSGG9 Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/RewritingHistory/membership ▬ Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Video Intro 00:46 - First Vienna Award History 09:49 - Coins 10:24 - Hungarian-Czechoslovak War 13:32 - Hungary Changes 16:24 - Second World War 22:40 - Peace Treaty
