What if EVERY Pokémon Champion was a Gym Leader?

In almost every Pokémon game, Champions are the only opponents who strictly use mono-type teams. But what if they didn't? What if, just like their lower-standing buddies Gym Leaders, Pokémon Champions were forced to use one type and less Pokémon, sometimes even as the first Gym Leader of their region? That's exactly the kind of question I want to answer today, as we demote every single Champion from their grand position to that of a lower-ranked Gym Leader.
