Goku discovers his Saiyan origins and, after facing Frieza, changes his view of his race from despising their cruelty to seeing hope for redemption. Inspired by Vegeta's final words and memories of his parents, Bardock and Gine, he considers reviving the Saiyans using the Dragon Balls.
