Naruto and Kurama have always been two halves of the same coin, with Kurama symbolizing the darkest desires and naturally destructive natures in everyone’s hearts, as well as our seemingly endless struggle to do right in spite of that. Kurama and Naruto have always had one of those relationships, not too unlike Sakuna has with Yuji, though I suspect that series took inspiration from Naruto from the start. But to be fair here, the enemy within trope has existed for generations. For as long as man has told stories, there have been stories about people being possessed by something malevolent. Perhaps that’s because there really are dark forces out there who wish to steer us to self-destruction. But bringing ourselves back to topic, the question hits my mind: what would happen if Naruto and Kurama switched personalities? Well, that’s what we’re here to discover today. Sit right back.
