What if The Jedi Council Sent ANAKIN to Fight Grievous? Let’s explore the depths of it in the video. As the Jedi Council gathers for the first time after the Battle of Coruscant, there is much to discuss. The recent action has been a major success for the Republic but has led to many more questions than answers. With Dooku dead, the question of this Sith Lord looms over their heads, now more than ever and the escape of Grievous means this war will drag on. Neither objective can be ignored so the Jedi decide to divide their forces. Yoda: Skywalker, finish off the remnants of the CIS fleet, you will. Track down and destroy Grievous, you must. Anakin: Surprised. Me? Mace: Your recent success in the battle here makes us believe you are well-suited. The chancellor has encouraged this appointment and we agree. Of course, if you wish to assign it to someone else, then we understand. Anakin: No. No of course not. I would be honored to carry out this job. Anakin looks up at the Jedi Council in surprise. He had fully expected Obi-Wan to be given this task given his history with Grievous. But instead, Obi-Wan is tasked with remaining in Coruscant to help rebuild. Although Anakin understands the hidden meaning there. To remain here and continue the search. Truth be told, Anakin is grateful. All that sneaking around and trying to learn the truth is exhausting. At least when it comes to upcoming battles, everything is simple. Meanwhile, as the remnants of Grievous’s invasion fleet regroup outside Republic space, the cyborg general takes stock of his forces. It is not good. He still has a decent chunk of his army, but the Republic will be coming after him with everything they have. But as he prepares to continue his journey to CIS space, he receives secret orders from Darth Sidious. It contains leaked information that Anakin Skywalker was tasked with hunting him down. He must remain as far off from the capital as possible for the foreseeable future. For that reason, he gives Grievous a set of simple orders. He is to do whatever means necessary to draw Anakin out and keep him there. The cyborg chuckles to himself as he gets these orders. Without Dooku trying to control him, he feels like a hunting dog released from its leash. He then begins relaying orders for the fleet to begin their rampage. It doesn’t take long for Anakin to receive intelligence about possible sightings of General Grievous in the Outer Rim. Anakin gathers his fleet and takes off after them as these rumors soon become a reality. Reports flood in, all from the sector around Utapau that the Confederacy has launched a campaign. But these aren’t just the normal occupations. Rather than capturing the planets and enslaving their people or installing puppets, they are simply destroying everything. On multiple worlds, Anakin arrives to see the cities in ruins and the space littered with the ruins of ships that tried to escape. There are a few droid garrisons left behind, but these are small groups that can’t seriously expect to hold off against the full might of Anakin’s forces. Still, it does give Anakin some solace so he makes it a point of leading the charge and destroying them. But the sight he sees isn’t pleasant. Large portions of these planets are reduced to ash, places where cities and villages used to be. He watches civilians huddle in makeshift shelters, their faces gaunt and their eyes wife with fear as Anakin clears out a detachment of droids. Anakin: What happened here? A young woman, cradling a child, looks up at him with tear-streaked cheeks. Then a Nkto clears his throat, clutching his wounded side. Nikto: “The droids came… they didn’t ask for surrender. They just… they destroyed everything. People who tried to run were… Anakin: You’re safe now. We’ll stop them, I promise. But can you tell me about their leader? Nikto: I saw him, a huge monster. Standing taller than me with a white shell and a face like a skull. He carried four lightsabers. But he left as quickly as he arrived, leaving these droids to mop up. Anakin nods as he gathers his fleet and tries to narrow down his search, all the while, civilian colonies burn, and fleets vanish as Grievous plays a deadly game of evasion. Anakin clenches his fists. It’s not like Grievous to avoid confrontation. Something feels wrong. But he cannot ignore the suffering. He orders his fleet to pursue, despite the CIS’s maddeningly evasive tactics. Another report comes in—more destruction, more lives lost. Anakin’s frustration grows, but his resolve hardens. He vows to end this. The Jedi Council’s orders were clear: neutralize Grievous. But to Anakin, this mission has become personal. These attacks are not battles—they are atrocities. In the quiet moments between hyperspace jumps, Anakin finds no peace. Visions plague him—Padmé, her face pale and desperate, calling out for him. Her voice echoes in his mind, fragile #starwars #starwarswhatif #anakin #generalgrievous
