This lego world war 2 build is a recreation of the world war 2 lego invasion of siciliy. This is lego operation husky, versus another lego builder.. thebrickcrew. Does that technically make this a lego city video? I think so.. it is a lego city build after all Operation husky was the allied invasion of Sicily, following immediately after the successful campaign in North Africa. The intention was to strike the soft underbelly of the axis forces, drawing German resources from the eastern and the western front, then providing a launchpad for the invasion of Italy proper. Following the deployment of British paratroopers behind enemy lines, the main invasion force then landed on the southeast of the island, initially finding little resistance from the already demoralised Italian forces. Though the British were in for a tough fight ahead, as the Germans and Italians consolidated their lines around Mount Etna… this was called the “Etna Line”. This is where we meet our both the 1st Canadian Division, and the British 231 Infantry Brigade. Canadian regiments present were: - The 48th Highlanders - The Royal Canadian Regiment - The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment As for the British: - The Dorsetshire Regiment - 2nd Battalion Devonshire Regiment - The Royal Artillery Regiment Defending the hilltop town of Regalbuto was the Hermann Göring Armoured Engineer Battalion, with a squadron of tanks and supporting artillery, including that of the infamous Nebelwerfer and a company of German paratroopers from Parachute Regiment 3. During Operation Husky, the battle of Regalbuto lasted from July 29th to August 2nd 1943. For example I do not have a picaxe lego accessory, nor do i have topless lego minifigure body parts. There are many details which I am aware, but I cannot match perfectly. This historical lego ww2 build is the best I could do with the lego parts at my disposal! Enjoy. I Recreated a 100% REAL LEGO WW2 photograph I Turned a REAL PHOTOGRAPH into a LEGO WW2 Moc! I recreated WW2 in LEGO! I built a LEGO WW2 historical picture... World War 2 LEGO moc Edited by: Carly - www.carlyiam.ca #lego #ww2 #war
