Todays Let’s Talk What is a Grad Advisor? How to get a Faculty Advisor? And EXACTLY do Advisors do in Grad School?
Hi Friends! Believe it or not grad advisors are some of the most important people you will meet in your grad school process. But very people talk about what are grad advisor supposed to do and how to go about finding and getting a GOOD faculty advisor in your graduate program. I have heard soooo many horror stories about BAD and borderline EVIL grad advisors, so I really wanted to share as much as I could about what to expect from a grad advisor. What is and is not a healthy relationship with a faculty advisor, and what EXACTLY are their responsibilities. Hopefully this will help us make more informed and strategic decisions for our grad advisors, beyond them just being the “leading scholars in our field!” Hopefully you enjoy!
