The video first shows pi as a ratio of the circumference over diameter.
Then how the formula for the circumference is applied.
The video explores the history of pi and shows historical usage of Pi, from Ancient Babylonians and Egyptians as well as references from the Bible and Hindu history.

The video shows how Archimedes calculated pi, he approximated Pi using polygon calculation. Others include Ptolemy, Lui Hui, Zu Chongzhi, Jamshid al-Kashi, Christoph Grienberger.
Series representation of pi. Madhava of Sangamagrama used a series to represent pi. As well as Abraham Sharp, John Machin, William Shanks, Srinivasa Ramanujan, Chudnovsky Brothers.
William Jones was the first to use Pi symbol to denote the ratio of circumference divided by diameter. Euler popularized usage of pi symbol.
Johann Heinrich Lambert was the first to show Pi was an irrational number.
Pi is used by Nasa.
