The best tutorial explaining shutter speed! Don't overcomplicate things or feel overwhelmed -- shutter speed is actually really simple. But it plays a huge role in every photo you take.
Want a beautiful blurred photo of something like a merry-go-round? Easy - long exposure (i.e. slow shutter speed).
Want a tack-sharp photo of a bird in flight? Also easy - fast shutter speed. Something like 1/500 or 1/1000 second is perfect.
You can adjust shutter speed in manual or shutter-priority mode. In the other camera modes, you don't change it directly, but you still need to watch to make sure it stays within the right range.
