In this video we visit Rochdale in Lancashire to see what lies under the old mill. The mill is the remains of Gnatt Bank mill on the banks of the river Roch. We are between Rochdale and Bury in Lancashire. Whilst there is not much left of this Lancashire spinning and fulling mill, at a subterranean urbex level there is still plenty to be found. We do an underground explore on what we think was a leat or feed for a waterwheel. These old Lancashire spinning mills in the victorian era had wonderful victorian engineering and architecture and were often powered by water and then later steam powered. We enter the old stone archway to look at the underground tunnel. That was possibly an underground waterway.
