There are lots of online resources to help you understand what others are paying for their new RVs. ** More about this video ** Before rushing out with checkbook in hand to purchase your new class a, class b or class c rv you need to know what you're going to pay. There are a ton of free online resources available for which can help you decide how much is a fair and equitable amount for you to pay for your new rig. The first place I like to go to is rvtrader.com. This is an online database of new and used RVs for sale across the United States. Rvtrader.com lists all types of RVs from big class A's to campers. Just select the class of RV you're interested in and if you know the make and model enter those to. You'll be presented with a list of many units new and used being offered up for sale from private individuals and dealerships alike. Go through that list and make note of the listed price for the RV you're looking at. Toss out any RVs that are listed at MSRP - you'll be able to get your dream rig for a lot less than that. Figure out the average list price. This is your baseline. You should expect to not have to pay more than this number - but we can do a lot better than this number. Next you'll need to join some Facebook groups. Search Facebook for a group that matches your exact make and model if possible. Many of these groups are closed groups so you'll need to apply. Some groups are for members only (like Pleasureway owners) but many are open to all. Once you're accepted into the group, search the group discussion for "discount". It should bring up discussion topics around what discount owners got when they purchased their RVs. If you can't find what you're looking for then post a message to the group and ask them: "Hey, I'm thinking of buying one of the awesome RVs that you all love. What kind of discount did you get?" You'll get the answers you seek. These Facebook groups are also great places to read the ins and outs of actual owners. You'll read about quality issues as well as dealer and manufacturer experiences. If you aren't able to get into any Facebook group, then you should search for specific non-Facebook enthusiast forums for your RV. You'll need to be resourceful here but here's a list of some: classbforums - specializes in class b camper vans. all makes and models. join them and then ask your question in the appropriate group. sprinter-source - specializes in the Mercedes Sprinter chassis. This is a forum of Sprinter owners both RV and commercial fleets so be aware of where you post your questions. RV.net - a massive community of all classes of RV owners. Find our specific class and then look for appropriate threads where people are talking about your make and model and post your question there. There are other online forums and resources as well. You just have to be persistent and search a bit. I've found that most of the forums welcome new members and are very eager to help answer your questions. And as always, there's my channel! Feel free to ask your question in one of my live sessions or post a comment with a question. I try to answer each and every comment and the Ultramobility community is very good at answering questions and sharing experiences as well! Arming yourself with the right discount to pay for your RV is the first and most important step on your journey to purchasing an RV. When you walk in with confidence knowing what deals you're willing to walk away from you're in the power position and will end up getting the best deal.
