Hello everyone!
In today's video, I'm taking advantage of the fact that I had two orchids pending to be planted in a pot to talk to you about the type of substrate I use for Phalaenopsis (epiphytes) vs the one I use for Paphiopedilum (terrestrial).
For me, the ideal mix for epiphytes is:
➡️ 80% pine bark
➡️ 20% sphagnum moss
And for terrestrials:
➡️ 60% pine bark
➡️ 30% sphagnum moss
➡️ 10% worm castings (even 5%, but never more than 10)
I know you love it when I show you the entire transplant process, but as I've mentioned on several occasions, I still don't have a tripod. Soon, very soon I will get one to record these processes that you like so much from start to finish 💚
If you have more questions about orchids, do not hesitate to leave them in the comments, so we can make more videos and feed the list of information.
Thank you very much for watching the video!
See you in the next one! 😘 😘 😘 😘
