We visited Dharavi, India’s largest slum, which contributes over $1 billion annually to the economy and has the highest population density in the world. Life in slums can be challenging due to the elevated risk of respiratory diseases. However, Adani has proposed a redevelopment project for Dharavi, which offers residents new housing units in exchange for their current living spaces.
