Following a year on the line with the staff and volunteers of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which is not only the most popular British Heritage Railway but also one of the longest, as it stretches through 18 miles of beautiful scenery.
In the final episode of the series we take a footplate awareness course with Colin, a volunteer on the railway and a lorry driver. It has always been his dream to drive a steam train and with the guidance of the footplate crew he does just that, much to his delight.
