Hello, this is Rie Sano from Japan. As a reconstruction supporter I worked in the tsunami disaster areas for about 4 years.
So now I’d like to make use of this experience and the relationships, and share the stories of the people of Kamaishi city, one of the disaster areas, to the world.
The theme is “Legacy of Resilience” ーーwhat we can learn through overcoming.
There are two reasons why I wanted to share these stories.
One is that Japan is hosting the Olympic games with the hopes that it will show Japan's revitalization since the disaster.
I want to express "what is the recovery, FUKKO(復興)," from my point of view.
Another reason is that the world is facing the massive threat of the coronavirus.
In life, lots of things happen.
However, I’d like to help people feel hope for tomorrow through these stories. As they have been a source of inspiration for me.
So I plan to make one video every month until the summer of 2021 when the Tokyo Olympic games would be held.
I want to create content based on the viewers’ comments. Please leave me a message telling me what you'd like to hear more of.
