Wheel of Time is cancelled and Rings of Power might be next, despite being Amazon Prime videos prestige fantasy series. These high fantasy adaptations has everything going for them, with source material for years, scripts ripe for editing and a built in audience. Yet Amazon are cancelling them in favour of other shows. Is this just a money issue, or a problem for fastasy as a genre? Or could it be something deeper at the heart of Amazon's staff?
