First things first - THANK YOU to everyone who has checked up on us over the last couple of weeks! And to answer the questions that have been coming in - we are not getting off the road or quitting YouTube. Corey who has never been sick for more than 12 hours for our whole 24 years of marriage got hit hard with a bug and has been down for a few weeks. He is feeling much better, and we will be posting more regularly again soon!
It never fails that some of the most memorable adventures weren’t even part of the plan in the first place!
This was definitely the case in Skagway, Alaska! Our original plan was to take the ferry over from Haines (if you missed that experience in last video, you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/88To4voARFQ?si=bfbBDwLMQHyMBuVE ) to Skagway and head out of Alaska, but once we saw this sweet little town, we knew we had to stay and explore for an extra day!
Skagway is probably the most themed town we have visited on our travels, but the best part for us was getting to learn so much about the history of the Klondike and the gold rush that was honestly kind of a scam! The multiple National Park Museum buildings throughout the town really added to the whole experience, and our favorite part may have been getting fried dough from Klondike Doughboy!
One thing that we didn’t get to do during our time in Skagway was take the famous train trip on the White Pass & Yukon Railroad and you better believe that we will be getting on that train when we go back to Skagway this fall on our first ever Sail Away to Alaska cruise on Royal Caribbean with Less Junk More Journey on September 26 - October 3, and we would LOVE to have you join us!

OK, back to the video - the end of this adventure included a border crossing that is considered one of the worse in Canada, our first ever lynx sighting (we think), and somehow, we locked ourselves out of the bathroom!
